Dr. Peter Verhoeven
 

Dr. Peter Verhoeven is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Finance, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia.  Prior to joining QUT, he taught  Advanced Investments and Research Methods in Finance at Auckland University, New Zealand.  He obtained his PhD in Financial Econometrics from the University of Western Australia in 2004.  His primary research interests are in empirical finance on topics such as investment strategies, risk measurement, market microstructure, dividend modelling and forecasting, financial analysts' forecasts, capital structure and corporate governance.  Dr. Verhoeven has extensive teaching experience at both the graduate and executive levels and has taught in many countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, including New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.  He has supervised in excess of fifty postgraduate (Honours, Master’s and PhD) dissertions.  Dr. Verhoeven is also the author of 15 papers in refereed academic journals and book chapters, including Pacific Basin Finance Journal, Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics, and Thunderbird International Business Review and Accounting and Finance.
