Dr. Annibal Jose Scavarda

Dr. Scavarda is an Assistant Professor at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology - RMIT - University, Australia (School of Management). His teaching and research specialisation is in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He was a post-doctoral fellow at The Ohio State University (Max M. Fisher College of Business) and was also a post-doctoral fellow at the Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo - FGV-EAESP, Brazil (Department of Production and Operations Management). Dr. Scavarda received his Master Degree and Ph.D. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Industrial Engineering Department). Part of his doctoral studies was undertaken at the University of Minnesota (Curtis L. Carlson School of Management).

He has been involved with various research projects, served as Visiting Professor, and or taught at many countries around the world: North America and South America: USA and Brazil; Europe: France and Portugal; Oceania: Australia; and Asia: China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. Dr. Scavarda has served as reviewer for several conferences and journals (including the Journal of Supply Chain Management of the Institute for Supply Management). He is the author or co-author of 7 papers in refereed academic journals and book chapters (including Decision Sciences Journal and IJOPM). At the moment he is co-supervising three Ph.D. students. His professional objectives are to act on the interface of the industry and the academy in the fields of Supply Chain Management & Logistics and Service Management developing applied research and consulting projects, besides teaching.
