Dr. Hopkins is Dean of the College of Business at California State
University, Chico.Prior to his current position, Dr. Hopkins was Dean of
the School of Business and Technology at the University of Maryland
Eastern Shore. He is the author of two books (Ethical Dimensions of
Diversity – Sage Publishers, 1997; Aligning Organizational Subcultures
for Competitive Advantage: A Strategic Change Approach, Basic Books,
2005), and over 80 academic and practitioner-oriented publications in
the areas of strategic planning and performance relationships and the
management of culturally diverse employees. He serves on the editorial
review boards of five academic journals, serves on the Advisory Board of
the Business Ethics Certificate On-Line Program at Colorado State
University, and is Co-founder of the Center for Advanced Technology
Management and Research at Colorado State University. Prior to entering
academe, Dr. Hopkins held positions with IBM Corporation, General
Dynamics Corporation, and National Cash Register Corporation, and has
consulted and conducted training seminars for organizations such as The
Arapahoe National Forest Service, the Campus Crusade for Christ, the
Colorado Department of Transportation, the U.S. Department of Energy
(DOE), Destination Hotels and Resorts, the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA), the City and County of Denver, Hewlett Packard
Corporation, Larimer County Humane Society, Plastic Technology
Corporation, and the Washington State Department of Transportation
Recently, he was designated a strategic partner with the United States Air Force at the Pentagon. |
