H. E. Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani is a highly respected and
prominent member of the ruling family in Qatar. He received a B.Sc in
electrical engineering from New Mexico State University, USA, and a
Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Lyon,
France. H. E. Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani was a senior
commissioned officer in the Qatar Armed Forces, and has held numerous
positions in the Qatar government. In addition, his passion for sports
and leadership has led to administrative roles in various sports
associations, including: Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia
in 2003; and Vice President of the International Fencing Federation in
2005.
H. E. Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani is currently the
Secretary General of the Qatar National Olympic Committee, reporting
directly to H. H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the President of QNOC
and also The Heir Apparent of Qatar. |
