Dr. van Riel is the Professor of Marketing at The Nijmegen School of
Management, Radboud University, The Netherlands. Prior to taking up this
position, he held the prestigious Arcelor Chair of Innovation Strategy
at the HEC Management School, University of Liege, Belgium. His
doctoral thesis dealt with high-technology service innovation. His
research interests include innovation strategy, decision-making under
uncertainty, services management, and supply chain management.
Professor van Riel has published in numerous academic journals,
including the Transportation Journal, the Journal of Product Innovation
Management, the Journal of Service Research, the International Journal
of Service Industry Management, Managing Service Quality, and the
European Management Journal. He also serves on the board of various
journals. He teaches courses in innovation, strategy, project
management, and supply chain management. He is also a visiting
professor at the University of Sousse (Tunisia) and The Central
University of Quito (Ecuador). |
